These Terms and Conditions apply to all electronic commerce conducted through the website owned by the brand Römer Atelier. These Terms and Conditions are agreed upon by the brand Römer Atelier, a registered entity (Process number 692314) headquartered in Portugal, and any individual customer engaging with the website.

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the customer declares agreement with their content. Customers must carefully read these Terms before making a purchase. Completion of a purchase assumes full understanding and acceptance of these Terms.

By purchasing from this website, the customer confirms they are of legal age. If underage, a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative must give prior permission.

Products

All jewelry sold by Römer Atelier is new and compliant with Portuguese legislation. Prices listed on the website are in Euros (€) and are VAT-exempt under Article 53 of the VAT Code (CIVA). The brand reserves the right to update prices at any time.

All products are subject to strict quality control. Customers are advised to maintain their jewelry properly.

Orders

Orders must be placed through the official website, Instagram page or email (romer.atelier@gmail.com & info@romeratelier.com). Any other website or channel, even if impersonating Römer Atelier, is not secure or valid.

To purchase, customers must add items to their cart and proceed through checkout, paying the total including any applicable shipping charges. Acceptance of these Terms is required to complete checkout.

Once payment is confirmed, a transaction confirmation email is sent, and the order moves to packaging and then shipment.

The customer is solely responsible for providing accurate personal information. Incorrect or incomplete data may result in delivery issues or loss of contact. Römer Atelier is not liable for problems arising from invalid data. In the event of a returned order due to incorrect details, the cost of reshipping will be borne by the customer.

Römer Atelier is not responsible for any disruptions caused by the customer's internet connection, including viruses or hardware failures.

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods: MBWay, PayPal, Apple Pay, VISA, Mastercard, and Multibanco reference. Cash on delivery is not available.

Orders using MBWay or Multibanco must be paid within the indicated period; otherwise, the order will be canceled. If an item becomes out of stock before payment confirmation, the customer will be informed.

All transactions are secure. Payment data is not stored and is only used for authorization purposes.

Shipping

After payment confirmation, orders are dispatched via CTT Registered Mail with home delivery. Average delivery times are:

• 2–4 business days
• 5–14 business days
  

Orders placed after 2 PM may be processed the following day. Delivery timeframes may vary due to postal delays or public holidays. During peak shopping periods, delays may occur.

Billing details cannot be changed after checkout. Address changes must be made directly with the courier and are not managed by Römer Atelier.

Once shipped, the customer will receive an email with a tracking number. Tracking information may take time to update.

Orders are delivered on business days only. Exceptions may apply on public holidays.

In case of issues during transport, customers should photograph the package and file a report with the courier. Our team can assist if needed.

Orders are subject to stock availability. If stock is depleted, customers will be notified and given the option to exchange or request a refund at no extra cost.

All packaging is carefully handled to avoid damage during shipping.

Customer Data Usage

By placing an order, the customer consents to receiving order-related information via the email provided. This email is securely stored and used solely for order processing or communication previously approved by the customer, in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

Römer Atelier is not liable for any loss resulting from the customer sharing their data with third parties.

All content on this website is the exclusive property of Römer Atelier and is protected by Portuguese copyright law. The brand’s logo is officially registered with INPI and cannot be copied or imitated. When used for academic or informative purposes, it must be preserved in its original form with credit to Römer Atelier.

All creations offered on this website are original designs, exclusively conceptualized and produced by Römer Atelier. Each piece reflects the unique identity and artistic direction of the brand. Any reproduction, imitation, or unauthorized use of our designs, whether in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of intellectual property rights. Legal action may be taken against any infringement of these rights.

Exchanges & Returns

If you are not fully satisfied with your order, contact us via the contact form within 15 days of receiving your item. Include your order number and purchase date in the message field.

Returns and exchanges are only accepted if the item is unused, unaltered, and returned in its original packaging along with the invoice and order number.

Items can only be exchanged for products of equal or greater value (in which case the price difference must be paid).

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is damaged.

Refunds apply only to the product value, not shipping. Refunds are processed via the same payment method and issued within 5 business days of receiving and verifying the returned item.

Customized items cannot be returned or exchanged, as per applicable legislation.

Promotions

All promotions are organized by Römer Atelier. For any promotional inquiries, contact us at romer.atelier@gmail.com.

During promotional campaigns, Römer Atelier will clearly state the campaign’s validity period in accordance with current laws.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. In case of disputes, customers and Römer Atelier agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.

In the event of a dispute, customers may seek resolution through the Lisbon Consumer Dispute Arbitration Center.

Customers may also submit formal complaints through the Official Complaints Book platform.

VAT Exemption

The prices displayed in the online store are exempt from VAT under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA), applicable to small businesses operating under the exemption scheme. As a micro-entrepreneur, I am exempt from charging VAT on sales, in accordance with Portuguese tax legislation.
